Edward Sonnenberg, DDS, is a pediatric dentist at Flanders Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics in Flanders, New Jersey. Dr. Sonnenberg earned his Bachelor of Arts in biology from New York University (NYU) before going on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City. He earned a certification in pediatric dentistry from the University of Connecticut in Farmington. Today, Dr. Sonnenberg shares his knowledge as an active educator to residents of Morristown Medical Center in New Jersey and postgraduate students at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and Rutgers School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Sonnenberg is committed to staying up to date with new developments and advances in the field of dentistry. He is an active member of multiple professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the New Jersey Dental Association. Dr. Sonnenberg is a fellow of the Academy of Dentistry for Patients with Special Needs.
Active in the community, Dr. Sonnenberg volunteers for the Boys & Girls Club of Newark, New Jersey, and provides free dental treatment to the children. He also treats special needs patients through the Donated Dental Services Program in New Jersey.
When he is not at work, Dr. Sonnenberg enjoys spending time with his wife, Shelley, and his children and grandchildren. He loves animals, traveling, and everything golf-related, including playing, watching, or talking about the game.
